Hail Storms Are the Fury of the Colorado Summer

Compared to a lot of places in the country, Colorado's summer weather is pretty mild, but sometimes summer's fury is displayed via violent hail storms.

Sure, Colorado gets the occasional twister, but it's rare. Much more common are Colorado's hail storms which can result in devastating destruction to cars, crops, gardens, houses, and windows.

Auto body repair shops love hail storms, while insurance companies and farmers absolutely dread them. Fortunately, the western Colorado hail storms have been few and far between, and with any luck and good fortune, it will remain that way for the rest of the summer.

Of course, watching a hail storm from the comfort and safety of your home is one thing, but it is quite another to be out in it. Imagine riding a motorcycle through a hail storm like this guy below. The hail isn't extreme, but just imagine if it was. Wouldn't want to be that guy.
