Due to a 60% chance of rain for Friday night the Annual Grand Valley Beer Festival will move back inside. The tasting will take place in the CMU Ballroom where the has been held for the past few years.

I don't think anyone will argue this has been one of the wettest springs in a very long time in the Grand Valley. It seems the rain just keeps coming, but that is good we do need the water.

Because for all the rain the annual Beer Festival will take place in the University Ballroom on the campus of CMU. The tasting will still take place Friday night from 4 to 9 pm and will benefit the Colorado Mesa Athletic Department.

This year over 70 breweries will be on hand and if they bring the usual amount that means over 210 beers will be on hand to sample. That sounds pretty good to me plus there will be some wines and ciders for the non-beer drinkers.

Tickets are $25 in advance and can be picked up at Fisher's Liquor Barn, Kannah Creek and the CMU athletic office. Tickets will be $30 at the door night of the event.

Food will be available and live entertainment with Zolopht while we enjoy some of the finest craft beers in the world.

Everyone who samples must be 21 or older so make sure to bring your I.D. because regardless of age everyone will be carded at the door.

We want everyone to be safe so please use a designated driver or use a cab and I will see you at the annual Grand Valley Beer festival this Friday night on the campus of CMU.
