Grand Junction Preschool Needs Help After Lightning Strike
We-Kare-A-Lot Preschool caught on fire after being struck by lightening during an overnight rainstorm on Wednesday (7/17) morning, now they need some community support!
According to reports the early morning disaster caused over $60k in damage to the building and its contents.
Yesterday I spoke to Michelle Rich, a friend whose child attends this Day Care, to see if there was anything we could do to help.
We found out that there are some immediate needs and a fundraiser to help this local company.
Michelle, shared the above photo with me and says,
This is what We-Kare-A-Lot Preschool needs right now. If you can share this tomorrow that would be amazing!
On that list are:
- Generators
- Help to clean
- Battery operated lanterns
- Fans
Mariah Snover also posted on our Facebook Page that she will be hosting a toy-raiser for them. All toys purchased will be donated to the preschool.
I also spoke with the owners of Learning Works and for every dollar spent in their store for We-Kare-a-Lot Daycare they will donate 50 cents worth of product to help them rebuild.
