Grand Junction Music Teacher’s Note Tells It Like It Is

This sign, spotted in the band room at Grand Mesa Middle School in Grand Junction, leaves no gray area whatsoever. As a matter of fact, the sign conveys its message perfectly -- leave this piano alone!

Students at Grand Mesa Middle School have a brand new electric piano. That is awesome. What's not awesome is the fact they are not supposed to be anywhere near the same time zone as the new piano.

The band director at Grand Mesa Middle School, Ms. Swanson, jokingly put the sign on the piano to remind students only certain individuals are authorized to use it.

As you can clearly see, this gentleman did not read the note. This is strange considering the note is located in plain sight directly on top of the piano. Actually, this pianist falls within the category of those authorized to play it. The Western Colorado Jazz Orchestra rehearsed in the band room Thursday night in preparation for their spring concert.
