The annual Grand Valley Health Fair is the premier health event in Grand Junction and this year, organizers are proud to offer something new to attendees.

In addition to the health screenings, information and interactive exhibits which are the mainstay of the fair, people attending the event can also participate in 'A Healthy Chat' featuring presentations and discussions with local health professionals.

Health fair organizers say there will be other new activities as well as a scavenger hunt at this year's event. Fran Parker of the Mesa County Health Department and 2015 Health Fair Coordinator says,

The 2015 Grand Valley Health Fair is a wonderful combination of traditional offerings with new health opportunities.. We couldn't be more excited about the community relationships this event continues to foster and build for a healthy Mesa County."

The health fair also offers low-cost blood draws and testing prior to the fair by appointment through March 13 at the Mesa County Health Department. Call 211 to schedule an appointment. Blood draws will not be available during the health fair.

Blood test results will be sent to the participants prior to the health fair so they can review results with medical professionals at the event and with their primary healthcare provider.

The Grand Valley Health Fair is March 27 - 28 at Two Rivers Convention Center from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. both days. The event is free to the public.
