The Grand Junction C.H.A.M.P.S. Veterans Association is collecting items for its September yard sale. Proceeds from the September yard sale will go towards the organization’s trip to the National Golden Age Games.

The National Golden Age Games is the premier senior adaptive rehabilitation program in the United States. It is the only national multi-event sports and recreational seniors’ competition program designed to improve the quality of life for all older Veterans, including those with a wide range of abilities and disabilities. It is one of the most progressive and adaptive rehabilitative senior sports programs in the world, offering 14 different sports and recreational activities.

C.H.A.M.P.S. fund raising events assist team members with expenses of travel, housing and meals to and at the National Golden Age Games. Grand Junction team members will again participate in the 2014 games in Fayetteville, Arkansas. C.H.A.M.P.S. Veterans Association is the sponsor of the Grand Junction Golden Age Games Team.
