Eagles singer and guitarist Glenn Frey has died after a battle with intestinal issues, according to a report from TMZ. He was 67.

The cause of death was reportedly a combination of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. Frey had been battling intestinal issues for months and underwent surgery in November.

Frey co-wrote and sang many of the Eagles hits including "Take It Easy," "Tequila Sunrise" and "Lyin' Eyes." He also co-wrote "Desperado" and "Hotel California" with Don Henley. He won six Grammys with the band and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

After the Eagles broke up in 1980, Frey had a successful solo career that included several hits like "The Heat Is On" and "You Belong to the City."

He reunited with the Eagles in 1994 for their monster Hell Freezes Over tour and released his fifth and final solo album After Hours in 2012.
