GJ Rockestra Concert to Feature Fan Favorites

If the Grand Junction Rockestra were to release a greatest hits album, their concert this weekend is what it would sound like.

GJ Rockestra has decided to reward their fans for five years of support by giving them the chance to build the set list for their free outdoor concert this Saturday at Colorado Mesa University.

This concert is one of mine and other family's favorites. It's also the official start of the season for the group that is a combination of a rock band, an orchestra, and incredible vocalists who perform amazing covers of well-known tunes.

With the songs being chosen by fans who come from almost every age group, it is guaranteed to be an eclectic mix of musical eras all rolled into one rockin' show.

The concert is 7:30 p.m. Saturday (August 20) at the Colorado Mesa University Plaza.

There are some chairs available, but based on my experience, bring your favorite comfortable lawn chair for maximum enjoyment and a guarantee you will have a place to sit.

For those who want to be treated like a rock star, GJ Rockestra is offering a special VIP package that includes tent seating, beer, wine, and soda. Rockstar tickets are $20 and can be purchased from the CMU Box Office.
