Getting Ready For Wine Fest

It's my first Colorado Winefest. It's a cool year for my first. The festival is celebrating it's 25th this weekend in Palisade. I was over setting up this afternoon and folks are getting fired up.

95 Rock will be there. You may not associate wine with rock, but trust me, the partnership between rock and wine goes way back. "Wine, woman, and song," goes back before rock and is often associated with one of rock's favorite words "hedonism." I'm sure the party in the park this weekend will be a tad more subdued, but you still don't want to miss it.

The festival in the park, 451 Pendleton Street, in Palisade will feature live music, a grape stomp, and dozens of wines to sample from all across the western slope and beyond.

These chairs may be empty now but they'll  be filled to capacity tomorrow. The weather looks great and there's no reason to stay at home. Find out more on the Colorado Mountain Winefest website. Wine rocks!
