Get Ready, It’s Festival Season!
Here are a few of the best regional fall festivals.
Telluride Blues & Brews Festival - Sept. 14 - 16 I've made over to Telluride a few times but no visit was as much fun as the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. I'm a big fan of the blues and there's simply no more beautiful place to take in the blues than in Telluride.
Colorado Mountain Wine Fest - Sept. 13-16 I hope you have your ticket for the premier wine festival in Colorado. This event is 4 days filled with bus tours, tastings, wine & food pairings, and of course the recently voted "Best Wine Festival in the Nation" the Colorado Mountain Winefest. Along with plenty of wine, there's food, live music, and the changing fall colors.
Fruita Fall Festival - Sept. 21-23 I hope you're pacing yourself. We're just getting warmed up. The weekend following Winefest is the Fruit Fall Festival. It's the quintessential small town festival. The party starts on Friday with vendors, carnival rides, and live music and continues through Sunday. Keep an eye out for the 95 Rock truck rolling through Saturday morning parade.
Montrose Oktoberfest - Sept. 29 It's a day filled with carnival rides, costume contests, group chicken dances (huh, what?), polka music, food, and of course lots of beer. The Montrose Oktoberfest is good family fun. Proceeds benefit a local nonprofit that assists seniors.
Durango Oktoberfest - Oct. 6 We're just started with the whole "Oktoberfest" thing. Next up in western Colorado is the celebration at Purgatory Resort. Sip beer and enjoy live entertainment from local musicians, delicious food, games and more! Oktoberfest Durango is a family friendly event.
Ouray Oktoberfest - Oct. 7 If you didn't get enough beer to drink on Saturday, slip on up to Ouray for Ouray Oktoberfest on Sunday. They're raffling off a Jeep. That may be reason enough to attend.
Grand Junction Oktoberfest Amped!- Oct 13th- The festival is back and better than ever. Last year was the first go around at The Amp at Los Colonias Park. This year Oktoberfest Amped will feature over 20 breweries! Collector steins, great food including brats, VIP section with exclusive access and tastings, great live bands and much more! This is the best 21+ over fall festival in Colorado!
