The Grand Junction Police Department have arrested a man in connection with last Saturday’s armed robbery of a North Avenue gas station.

30-year-old James Rucker of Grand Junction was arrested and charged with robbing the Bradley Sinclair gas station on North Avenue. He was arrested without incident early Wednesday morning in the 1700 block of North Avenue in Grand Junction. The clothing Rucker was wearing at the time of the arrest matched witness accounts of clothing the suspect wore during the robbery.

According to a press release from Grand Junction Police, Rucker had already been identified as a possible suspect in the robbery. During the arrest, officers found a fully loaded handgun concealed on Rucker.

Rucker is facing charges of aggravated robbery, felony menacing, theft, possession of weapons by a previous offender, and illegally carrying a concealed weapon.

Grand Junction Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
