I had a chance recently to visit Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs and discovered some spectacular views and a great way to get some exercise.

The first thing that strikes me about Garden of the Gods is that admission is completely free, the second is how well-kept and clean it is.

Garden of the Gods offers some great hiking trails, horseback riding trails, dog-walking trails, plus great photo opportunities of some of Mother Nature's finest work. With rock formations all over the place, rock climbing opportunities are available by permit.

The rock formations are amazing, and often times you see Pikes Peak providing a gorgeous backdrop.

There are numerous places to stop, get out, and wander around. You can spend an hour, half a day, or more depending on what you want to do. It's great exercise, though it's not strenuous, and there's great beauty everywhere you look.
