For some, Black Friday is a fun day to join the crowds shopping for holiday deals. For the rest, here is something less stressful and a lot less expensive because it is free.

On Friday (November 25) State Parks in Colorado are waiving their normal admission fee and allowing people who would rather skip the shopping crowds and enjoy a sunny day enjoying the fresh air and activities at any of the 42 Colorado State Parks.

This month's mild weather opens up several opportunities including hiking, fishing, and the best part enjoying the incredible lingering fall beauty at many of the parks.

If you have some Thanksgiving leftovers, you have a Fresh Air Friday picnic practically ready to go.

Close to Grand Junction you'll find James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park which includes Island Acres, Corn Lake, Colorado River Wildlife Area, Connected Lakes and Fruita.

Elsewhere around western Colorado enjoy Highline Lake, Vega Reservoir, Sweitzer Lake, Ridgway, Crawford State Park, Paonia, Rifle Falls and Harvey Gap.

No matter where you end up on Fresh Air Black Friday, make sure you take a camera so you'll have some great things to share with friends and family who opted for the stress of shopping rather than relax, unwind, and avoid the crowds.
