There's a reason why singers who sing the national anthem don't do so on ice skates while skating around a hockey rink.

This is that reason.

Mark Donnelly, known for his anthem singing for the NHL's Vancouver Canucks, was singing "O Canada" recently for the Penticton Vees, a Canadian junior hockey team in British Columbia.

He was doing so on ice skates, while wearing a tuxedo with tails. But there was one problem: He somehow forgot about the red carpet on the rink and managed to skate right over it.

However, to Donnelly's credit, he barely missed a beat! He hopped right back up after a slight struggle with the carpet and kept singing!

So, for all of you other anthem singers out there, don't sing while skating -- unless you plan on falling in disastrous fashion like this guy!
