Free Beer & Hot Wings: Man Cuts Open Porcupine Roadkill; Discovers Baby Porcupine Inside [Video]

After seeing a porcupine get hit by the car in front of him, Jared Buzzell, of Lisbon, Maine, pulled over to check on it.

He discovered that it was dead, but was then reminded of something his uncle told him about some mineral inside a porcupine's stomach that was really valuable.

That sounds strange enough already, but it gets weirder.

So what did Jared do?

He cut open the dead porcupine to search for the mineral, but discovered something completely unexpected.

It turned out the porcupine was pregnant. Inside, he found an unborn porcupine baby.

So, he did what anyone would do: He delivered the baby porcupine and he's now raising it as a pet.

What the hell, Maine?
