Freddy’s Opens Tomorrow!

The wait is over! Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers on Horizon Drive opens Tuesday, March 21st I plan to be at the front of the line!

Grand Junction's first Freddy's is set to open at 739 Horizon Drive. The steakburgers, hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries, and frozen treats are set to wow the crowds! I dropped by today and the new crew was being run through their paces inside and the drive through.

The 2,968 square-foot, location can seat up to 84 guests with additional seating on the patio. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

I've been telling you guys about the new stores every since I first heard they were coming. As I had mentioned, I've dined at the very first Freddy's in Hutchinson, KS. The radio stations I managed in Wichita were part of the early franchises "grand openings." Now Freddy's can be found nearly coast-to-coast.

What makes a Freddy’s steakburger special, you ask? Each patty is seasoned and pressed thin on their flat top grill until the edges are crispy, topped with melted cheese, and then with mustard, onion slices, and pickle planks. I recommend the "Double-Double" or go "Califiriona Style." Finish off with some of their fresh frozen custard. I always go with a vanilla concrete with Heath Bar added in.
