Five Finger Death Punch ‘No One Gets Left Behind’ Jersey Exceeds ‘5FDP4VETS’ Fundraising Goal
Earlier this week, Five Finger Death Punch debuted the powerful video for 'Wrong Side of Heaven, which shines a light on the plight of homeless military veterans and the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). But that was just the beginning of a bigger campaign in which Five Finger Death Punch are seeking to help military vets.
In addition to raising awareness of the issue, the band also took action by designing a “No One Gets Left Behind” jersey (watch video above) available via an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign that will benefit the various organizations mentioned at the end of the 'Wrong Side of Heaven' video.
Their goal was to raise $42,500, and we're happy to report that more than $125,000 has already been pledged, with the campaign not set to end until Sept. 25. The initial run of jerseys sold out, with 5FDP adding another 1,000 shirts to keep up with the demand. The group has also launched the website 5fdp4Vets.com with information about PTSD and resources where veterans can find support.
Five Finger Death Punch hosted a special screening of the video this week at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada where they were able to show their appreciation for the military in person. Watch TV news coverage of the event here.
Look for the band back on the road in September. They have a co-headlining tour with Volbeat that kicks off Sept. 16. in Salt Lake City. They'll also be part of the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif. on Sept. 14.
