Third time's a charm they say. I guess so. It took me that many tries to finally get my Freddy's fix. The lines were so long and the drive-through backed up to the Double Tree my first couple attempts, but yesterday evening I finally made it inside!

I cruised over to the new Horizon Drive location just after noon on Tuesday. That was opening day and it was insane! The hotel next door had security helping keep patrons off their parking lot. The drive-through was backed up onto Horizon nearly back to I-70 so I had to concede defeat and try again later.

That evening around 7 p.m. was somewhat better. The drive-through wasn't quite as far back but the line to dine inside was still out the front door. I once again decided against the wait and went to City Market instead. I had ben postponing a trip to the store for a couple days and was out of food at home. Frozen pizza again.

Yesterday evening I ventured out to try again. I've been jonesing for Freddy's ever since I knew that were coming. Finally, the line wasn't out the door.  The drive-through was still into Horizon, and the parking lot full, but I managed to find a parking spot across the street and made my way in.

After a wait in the line for about 15 minutes, I made my order. Then my number was called "Order 274 you're order's ready"...success!  I went all in too! A "Double-Double" meal with their signature shoestring fries, and a chocolate concrete. Yea baby! I hope you get out to give them a try. Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers are da-bomb! Kids still say that these days? I guess not.
