I had the pleasure of going to my very first Winefest this weekend. Experience the 26th Annual Colorado Mountain Winefest in Palisade through these pictures.

My first Winefest was spent drinking delicious wine and eating fish tacos until I couldn't anymore. Needless to say, it was a blast. I even got to take part in the grape stomp which is a lot colder and a lot less painful than I thought.

I've been to Palisade and have went fishing at Riverbend Park a few times before. It was amazing to see the transformation from a peaceful park to a lively festival. I'm not sure how anyone is expected to actually try all of the wineries since there's so many of them. Especially when the first winery gives you like 8 different samples to try.

My first stop was my favorite -- and conveniently right next to our booth. Passionfruit, black currant, coffee and Moscow mule were not flavors I expected to taste! Thank you Decadent Saint for the pleasant mouth surprise! I even kept the festivities going and drank a couple of Moscow mules with their black currant mix after the festival. Cheers to an awesome first Winefest!
