Escape the Fate are still riding high on the release of their fifth album, Hate Me, which hit the shelves in October of 2015. The record, which saw the debut of new entrant, guitarist Kevin 'Thrasher' Gruft, yielded two singles, "Just a Memory" and "Remember Every Scar" and now the band has unleashed a music video for the latter.

Before the music kicks in, the video opens with the band standing in a police lineup. Shots pan between the band playing in a room in the station and each member being interrogated in an individual room. The song's lyrics deal with toiling away in lost memories from a drunken night, self-medicating with alcohol to deal with the pain. However, the chorus encourages holding on to the pain as it builds character and shapes who you are.

Throughout the video, the interrogations get more intense, turning physical from the side of law enforcement. As each band member is bloodied from the beatings, it never becomes clear exactly what the band did to land themselves in the slammer and victims of such rough treatment, but it drives home the lyrical refrain of perseverance through the worst.

Escape the Fate sent shockwaves through their fanbase last week when they released a cover of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself." The acoustic performance closely represented the minimalist approach to the original, adding a bit more spirit to the song as Craig Mabbitt's soft croon mirrors Bieber's delicate touch on the track.

The group will be taking part in the 'We're All in This Together' tour, serving as direct support for groove-metallers Hellyeah. The billing is rounded out by New Years Day and From Ashes to New with the trek set to launch on May 2 in Baltimore, Md. For a full list of stops, visit our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
