For what it's worth, EA Sports Madden has predicted the outcome of Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

Of course, Super Bowl predictions are a dime a dozen this time of year, but the EA Sports Madden video game forecast is intriguing because it has correctly predicted the outcome of the big game in 9 of the last 12 years.

Here's how it goes.

The Panthers jump out to a 17-0 lead before the Broncos come storming back with 20 unanswered points in the second half to take the lead. Hmm.....yeah, that sounds like the Broncos we know.

But, then, in the end, Cam Newton scores a late touchdown to give the Panthers a 24-20 victory.

So, if you want to believe a video game, there you go. Fortunately, the game is played on a field in a real stadium and not on a television monitor in some geek's living room.I guess we will know Monday morning how smart the video game is.

By the way, Broncos fans should actually be encouraged by this. Two years ago the video game showed Denver beating Seattle in the Super Bowl 31-28-- and we all know how THAT one turned out!
