When you live someplace for awhile you tend to take some things for granted. The Museum Of Western Colorado is one of those places us new to town folks think is really cool but the locals tend to forget about.

First of all, I've never heard of a museum with a tower. They can be several stories high but never have a tower you can go up in and see for miles.

Come on man, that's worth the price of admission right there. I'm not sure how far you could see on a clear day but with the Grand Mesa on one side and The Colorado Monument on the other, it's quite a view.

And dude, if you're thinking that a museum doesn't rock, let me share with you the Western Colorado Weaponry exhibit currently running through February 12, 2017.  The exhibit explores thousands of years of weapons from the early native Americans, the old west lawman, outlaws, militia, gangsters, hunters, and more.

Time doesn't allow for me to share all the cool stuff at the Western Colorado Museum. If you haven't been there in awhile, you need to go. The weekend weather looks nice so gather up the friends and family and take in what you may have forgotten about. The cool things locals sometimes forget about and the museum is one of them. Museums rock!
