Don’t Decorate For Christmas This Year, It Could Kill You
I am all about getting into the holiday spirit by buying a gift or two for my friends and family, and maybe even putting up a Christmas tree, but putting up lights on the house is a royal pain in the ass! Not to mention all the work and the extra $$ spent on the light bill, decorating the house could also put you in the hospital or worse!
Snow isn't’ the only thing that’s falling this time of year!
According to estimates from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, 15,000 people visited the ER last holiday season due to injuries sustained while decorating! And the number of festive-décor-related injuries has increased since the previous year.
The most common injuries resulted from falls, which accounted for 34% of ER visits. Lacerations came in second (not sure how you cut yourself hanging Christmas lights, Clark), followed by back problems.
