An inmate, considered dangerous, escaped from a Golden, Colorado prison Tuesday morning (May 22). Law enforcement in the state are on alert and searching for him.

The escapee is 27-year-old Sean Garcia. He is described as a Hispanic male 6-feet 3-inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Garcia has tattoos on both arms. He might also have a goatee.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, Garcia was last seen wearing a green shirt with a white undershirt, green pants, and black boots.

Garcia escaped from the Colorado Corrections minimum security facility at approximately 8 a.m. by scaling a fence. A Denver Post story reports Garcia was three months away from his mandatory parole release prior to the escape.

Because Garcia is considered dangerous, people who see him or have information that could help law enforcement find him are asked to call 911.
