Creepy New Test Can Actually Predict Death

It's kind of one of those catch 22's... If someone was able to tell you when you were going to die, of course you want to know, but at the same time you really don't want to know! So I don't really no if it's good news or bad news, but there is a new test could take the guesswork out of mortality.

Scientists have reportedly developed a“death test” that predicts a healthy person’s chances of dying from any medical condition in the next five years.

The simple blood test screens for biomarkers that indicate what experts call “frailty.” A biomarker is a biological molecule found in blood, body fluids, or tissues that may signal an abnormal process, a condition, or a disease. People whose biomarkers are out of whack are five times more likely to die from a variety of possible illnesses, ranging from heart disease to cancer.

Scientists hope the test could be used to spot underlying illness in people who appear healthy, enabling quicker treatment.
