Cosplay of the Day: Don’t Mess With Tank Girl Unless You Want to Get Bombed

Today's cosplay is a bit of a throwback to the good old days of the '90s with this awesome Tank Girl costume.

Mary Jane is a cosplay enthusiast from Canada who put together this great costume inspired by 'Tank Girl,' the '90s movie based on the comic book of the same name, starring Lori Petty as the titular heroine. Tank Girl has to rage against the corporate machine in a post-apocalyptic future, where water has become a commodity only enjoyed by the wealthiest citizens. Using tanks and guns and a feisty attitude, Tank Girl kicks ass all up and down the desert to save her little sister and reclaim water for the people.

Mary Jane's cosplay is appropriately very DIY, much like Tank Girl's look, and features the signature bullseye t-shirt, vest and Doc Marten boots -- like we said, it was the '90s. But what's great about her costume is that she keeps the spirit of the character alive, and while it may not look 100% screen-accurate, with someone like Tank Girl, it's the details and the attitude that count.
