Colorado’s Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division Being Audited

DENVER (AP) — Colorado's medical marijuana regulations are due for a critical look today from auditors who have been called on to investigate why the agency is so troubled.

The Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division has had to lay off staff and leave major regulatory ideas on the shelf. That's because the agency fell short of fees paid by people seeking medical marijuana licenses.

An audit is due to be released this morning.
