Breckenridge Brewery has introduced their new Pumpkin Spice Latte beer in 40 states.

Sure, I'll try a sip but you'll not catch me drinking a pumpkin spiced beer. First, I'm not a huge pumpkin fan in the first place. I'll have a slice of grandma's homemade pie with some whipped cream for Thanksgiving dinner but that's about it.

To try and cash in on the pumpkin spiced craze the "Innovation Center" at the Breckenridge Brewery has created this new seasonal flavor. It's a stout brewed with dark roasted malts and coffee beans. Also in the mix is a hint of vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. I'm sorry but that's a little too much for my palate but I'm certain there will be many that will love it. It's also one of those "Nitro", nitrogen gas infused brews. That trick is not new. Guinness has been messing with nitrogen since the 1930s. However, nitrogen infused beer is gaining popularity. The market share has now grown to 12% of national beer sales.

If trying the new Pumpkin Spice Latte brew is something you need to do, the best place in Grand Junction is at The Ale House. They're the local Breckenridge Brewery guys.
