Colorado Mesa University Kicks Off Fall Sports Schedule
Fall sports will officially begin this weekend for Colorado Mesa University, with the women’s soccer team leading the way.
The Mavericks have 11 sporting events on the schedule between Thursday and Sunday, with three games taking place in Grand Junction.
Here’s a look at this weekend’s CMU schedule:
Women's soccer

CMU's women's soccer team travels to Durango, Colorado to play two games, the first on Thursday against Midwestern State University (12:30 p.m. game start) and the second game is set for Saturday (September 6) against Texas Women's University (10:00 a.m. start).
Men's soccer
Walker Field, 12th Street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction1-800-410-MAVS (6287)
The Mavericks host their first two games of the season at Walker Field on the CMU campus. CMU will start their season off this Friday (September 5) at 6:00 p.m. against St. Edward's University, and then will play against #12 Midwestern State at 12:00 noon on Sunday (September 7).
Volleyball
West Texas A&M University Fieldhouse in Canyon, Texas1-800-410-MAVS (6287)
CMU's volleyball team will travel to Canyon, Texas to participate in the Lady Buff Classic Tournament at West Texas A&M University. The Lady Mavs have two games on Friday (September 5) and two games on Saturday (September 6).
Rodeo

CMU's rodeo team travels to Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah to compete on Friday and Saturday.
Football
Stocker Stadium, 12th Street and North Avenue in Grand Junction1-800-410-MAVS (6287)
CMU Football kicks off Saturday night (September 6) when the Mavericks host Dixie State at Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction. Game will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1230 with pregame at 6:30 p.m.
Cross Country (men's and women's)

CMU's men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Alamosa to compete in Adams State's Joe Vigil Open on Saturday.
