Colorado Mesa Men’s Soccer to Host RMAC Tournament

The 2014 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Soccer Tournament for both men’s and women’s soccer will begin this Wednesday, and run through Sunday.

Brackets for both tournaments were announced late Sunday, with the top six teams qualifying for each tournament.

First round games are scheduled Wednesday afternoon. Semifinals are scheduled for Friday, with the championship game slated for Sunday. Both semifinals and championship games will be held at the home of No. 1 seed of each tournament.

Colorado Mesa University is the No. 1 seed on the men’s side, and Colorado School of Mines is the No. 1 seed on the women’s side.

The bracket for men’s soccer is as follows:

• FIRST ROUND GAME – #4 Fort Lewis vs. #5 Colorado-Colorado Springs, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday
• FIRST ROUND GAME – #3 Regis vs. #6 Metro State, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday
• SEMIFINAL GAME #1 – #2 Colorado Mines vs. Regis/Metro State winner, 4:00 p.m. Friday at Walker Field, 12TH Street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction
• SEMIFINAL GAME #2 – #1 Colorado Mesa vs. Fort Lewis/UCCS winner, 7:00 p.m. Friday at Walker Field, 12TH Street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction
• CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Walker Field, 12TH Street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction

• FIRST ROUND GAME – #4 New Mexico Highlands vs. #5 Fort Lewis, 4:30 p.m. Wednesday
• FIRST ROUND GAME – #3 Regis vs. #6 CSU-Pueblo, 12:00 noon Wednesday
• SEMIFINAL GAME #1 – #1 Colorado Mines vs. New Mexico Highlands/Fort Lewis winner, 2:00 p.m. Friday
• SEMIFINAL GAME #2 – #2 Metro State vs. Regis/Colorado State-Pueblo winner, 4:30 p.m. Friday
• CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Colorado Mines
