As drier weather begins to move into Colorado's flood-stricken areas, search and rescue crews can begin to make their way into some of the more devastated areas to help stranded residents. The Colorado Office of Emergency Management has released damage assessments from the areas involved.

The areas include are Boulder County with 875 square miles affected, Larimer County with 1,120 square miles and Jefferson County with 385 square miles.

Evacuated Persons -- 11,750

From all 17 counties affected by the Colorado floods, 11,750 people have been evacuated from their homes. At this point, more than 2,100 people and 500 pets have been airlifted out.
