A Colorado Mesa University student is suddenly without wheels after only two days of classes courtesy of a thief who stole a bicycle from a campus bike rack.

The theft happened just after 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23. The bicycle, a black and gray Specialized Rockhopper Comp with 29-inch tires, was parked in the east bike rack at Pinon Hall on the CMU campus. The bicycle is worth over $800.

Authorities retrieved a photo of the suspect (pictured) from a nearby surveillance camera.

If you know the suspect or have information that could help police find him or the bicycle you are asked to make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers of Mesa County at 241-7867 or through the Crime Stoppers website.

If the information you provide leads to an arrest in this case, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
