CMU Homecoming Wraps Up With A full Day of Events

Colorado Mesa University will wrap up homecoming week with a full slate of events Saturday. There have been great events all week but you know they always save the best for last.

Saturday homecoming will start with something new this year. CMU will hold a parade downtown on Main Street that will begin at 2:30pm and is free for the whole family to enjoy.

Then make your way back to Lincoln Park for one of the best events in Western Colorado. The annual all you can eat Steak and Crab Fest will start at 3pm and go until about 7pm on the Lincoln Park Lawn.

The cost is $50 to enjoy the great food and includes a beer garden for those who would like a clod brew with their meal. For kids six and under there is a meal available for just $5.

The proceeds will go to the CMU Wrestling Club and I will tell you to get there early and enjoy.

Then homecoming day will wrap up with the Mavericks hosting the Ft. Lewis Skyhawks at Stocker Stadium. The game will get underway at 7pm and will cost you just $10 to get in.

The Mavericks will be going for their fourth win in a row and by game time will know if they are playing for a share of first place in the RMAC Conference. The Mavericks always play Ft. Lewis tough and Saturday's game will be no different.

The weather will be great so gather up the gang and come celebrate homecoming weekend with Colorado Mesa University this Saturday.
