Challenges To Getting Around Grand Junction This Week

If you are trying to get out and about this week, or simply trying to get to work. You may find road closures and delays. According to the Daily Sentinel

Areas in Grand Junction that could cause you some delays this week:

■ Downtown Farmers Market: Main Street from Third Street to Seventh Street, Fourth Street, Fifth Street and Sixth Street from Colorado Avenue to Rood Avenue. There will be a detour. The event runs from 4:30 to approximately 8:30.

■ City Market at 12th Street and Patterson Road: Off and on closures will occur this week on 12th Street and Patterson Road. Most of this work will be completed during non-busy hours, but you could still run across some delays.

■ 29 1/2 Road north of Patterson Road

Xcel Energy crews are replacing gas lines in 29 1/2 Road and G Road. Traffic control personnel will assist motorists through construction zones. Completion is scheduled for early October.
