Big Game Bash Raises $500 for Local Music Scholarship

Football fans at yesterday's "Major Mortgage Country Jam Big Game Bash" donated $500 to a music scholarship exclusive to Colorado Mesa University.

Attendees at the Mesa Theater and Lounge took advantage of chances to reach into the "Great and Powerful Wazoo" for a $1 donation. All participants won a prize of some kind, ranging from CD's to t-shirts to key rings.

By the end of the game, the donations totaled precisely $500. Today, the proceeds were donated to the Robert "Bob" Grant Memorial Scholarship, a $4,400 annual award at Colorado Mesa University. Applications for the scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year are being accepted now.
