Everyone knows beer and college go hand in hand. For better of worse, it's part of the college experience. The Beer College at Kannah West is all good.

Craft Beer consumption in the U.S. is exploding.  According to The Brewers Association, from 2012 to 2014, 1017 new craft breweries opened nationwide growing the total to 3,418! Craft beer now makes up 11% of the market share and grossed $19.6 Billion in 2014.

If you're new to the whole craft beer craze, enjoy a fine craft beer, or just want to learn more about how craft beers are made, don't miss Beer College at Kannah West, 456 Kokopelli Boulevard in Fruita Wednesday, December 28th, 6-7:30 pm. Beer College will be taught by Cicerone Certified Tosha Dixon! She will explain the basics of craft beer and answer any of your questions!

What's it mean to be "Cicerone Certified"? Wine fans recognize the title of "sommelier" as someone with proven expertise in selecting, acquiring and serving fine wine. In the beer world, the Cicerone Certification Program is the industry standard for identifying those with significant knowledge and professional skills in beer sales and service.

What's that mean? It means that the "professor" of Kannah's Beer College know's what she's talking about and if you want to learn more, don't miss this special event.

Tickets are $15. That includes 8 beer samples, a full pint of your favorite Kannah craft ale, and small appetizers. Glasses up and Happy Holidays!
