A person who parked their car at the Bangs Canyon trailhead returned from their hike to find while they were enjoying the scenery, thieves who broke into their vehicle and stole credit cards were enjoying a day of shopping.

The theft occurred on February 2 and the thieves managed to spend over $8,700 that day at Ulta, Bed Bath and Beyond, Best Buy, and City Market. Surveillance photos show the two women who were using the stolen cards to make fraudulent purchases.
