The 2013 Junior College World Series in Grand Junction is still over a week away, but die hard fans are already visualizing where there seat is going to be for that first game on Saturday, May 25th at 9am. It's remarkable how many fans come out to the ball park to cheer on teams and players that they really know nothing about. When I first moved to Grand Junction 10 years ago, I wondered  why someone would do that. Then I went to my first JUCO game. Not only was I hooked, I understood why all the fuss. The thrill of competition is exciting, it's good quality baseball, and besides that, it's baseball. There's just something about being at a baseball game that is so much fun.

Tournament passes can be purchased in advance for $35, good for general admission to all of the games. Single game tickets can be purchased for $8 at the game. Information about reserved seating and the tournament schedule is available on line.

You can see from these tweets that folks are excited about coming to Grand Junction to play baseball.
