Asking Alexandria's Danny Worsnop revealed he'd been working on a solo country record during his brief time away from the band. The Long Road Home will serve as the singer's debut and he's just released a video for the soulful, slow-burning track "Prozac," shot live in the studio.

The video (premiered by NME) keeps it simple, focusing on Worsnop tracking his vocals, wearing a shiny blue sportcoat as he delivers an impassioned croon set to a gentle, plodding rhythm with a bit of textured, twangy guitar work. The rest of his bandmates can be seen playing live in the studio as the song gradually crescendos.

“With the help of some incredible and very talented people, I am pleased to announce that in 2017 I will be releasing my first album as a solo artist. It has been an emotional rollercoaster creating these songs, but the end result has left me humbled, proud and more excited about a project than I ever have been in my life," said Worsnop.

The Long Road Home will arrive on Feb. 17 and pre-orders can be placed here.

Rejoining Asking Alexandria last October, Worsnop sent fans into pure ecstasy as the band hit the road on a headlining tour just a few days later. Despite the band's worldwide success, Worsnop maintains that his solo career is still the priority. “The solo work is my number one, always. I’m already thinking about the second one. Everything else… I obviously love all the other things I do, but the solo record is always number one. ‘Cause it’s me and I have an emotional connection to it where nothing can ever top it," he said.
