The "bomber" is engaged! Since Lemmy Kilmister's death in December 2015, the tributes to the late Motorhead rocker have been many, and now we're starting to get some tributes coming in song form. Airbourne are the latest to pay homage with a song called "It's All for Rock n' Roll," and the track was inspired by Lemmy, while the video is a full on tribute including the legendary Motorhead "bomber" stage prop and Lemmy performance footage popping up throughout.

"It's all for one / And one for all / It's all for rock n' roll," belts Joel O'Keeffe in the song's chorus, while the verses speak more to Lemmy's work ethic, his love of rock and roll and how he still haunts the stage to this day.

“When Motorhead played, it didn’t matter what was happening in the world at that point -- Motorhead was onstage, that was it. Everything was dialed in and the crowd were there and lovin’ it – all for rock ‘n’ roll," says O'Keeffe. "Whenever we were on tour, we looked forward to seeing the festival posters with the big Motörhead logo on there, and now there's just a big black hole. 'We are Motörhead, and we play rock 'n' roll,' we were so used to hearing that, and when it's not there anymore, it hits you hard. Lemmy meant so much to us, and so much to rock 'n' roll itself."

Airbourne have a long history with Lemmy Kilmister, sharing stages together in Europe and Australia over the years. Lemmy also made a cameo as a truck driver in their "Runnin' Wild" video back in 2007.

The "It's All for Rock n' Roll' video itself was made with the support of the Motorhead camp, who enthusiastically lent the "Bomber" lighting rig for the video as well as contributing some of the archival footage seen in the clip. Airbourne salute the Motorhead camp for their involvement in adding the emotional weight to the video and song itself.

Airbourne will be returning to the road in late May, kicking off a European tour that will continue into July. See all of their dates here.
