The Pitkin County coroner has released the name of the 74-year-old man from New Orleans who died in a bicycle crash in Aspen over the weekend. Henry Vosbein was a recreational cyclist who lost control of his bicycle Sunday and died due to his injuries.

Vosbein was descending Maroon Creek after riding with family and friends to Maroon Bells. Pitkin County Sheriff’s deputy George Kremer said the Vosbein had hit some loose rock, lost control and was thrown forward into a meadow about four feet below. The 74-year-old was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.
