Resolve to do a few of these in 2019.

The list of Colorado "cool things" to do is endless. When I moved here, I had several in mind. The first one was to get back to Red Rocks. It had been nearly 20 years since my previous visit and once I made it back, I've been there three more times since. The Telluride Blues & Brews Festival was on my list too. I've made it there these last two years. I'm surprised how many locals I've met that have been to neither. I thought everyone in Colorado had been to Red Rocks? Here are my Top 5 list of things I'm resolving to do in 2019. Perhaps there are a couple you may want to add to your 2019 resolutions.

1- Go to a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre- There's no such thing as going there too many times. Every show is great and any excuse to visit the best amphitheater in the world is worth the effort.

2-Telluride Blues & Brews Festival- Don't get me wrong The Ride Festival in Telluride is cool too. I did that one for the first time this summer but I'm a huge fan of the blues. This event in September is not to be missed. The aspens are turning and the beer and blues are some of the worlds best.

3- Attend Winefest VIP style- I've been to the festival every year since moving here but I always find myself working. Next year I'm going to treat myself and go in style. I need to not work so hard and upgrade to take in the "Best Wine Festival in The Nation" the right way!

4- Country Jam Super VIP- Again, one of these events I have to work but for just once, or even one day, I'd like to experience Country Jam up front and then chill in the VIP tent sucking down unlimited adult beverages. At $1,600 a ticket it may be out of my budget but what a way to see the largest country music festival in the west! Maybe next year if I start saving now. That's not likely. One thing is for sure I'm going to spend more time hanging out at the after party in the campground! Everyone knows that's where the real Country Jam party is anyway!

5- Climb Mt. Garfield- I have a couple co-workers who have made the hike to the top. One has done it several times. I tell ya, driving by on I-70 it looks pretty daunting. I mean parts of that look to be pretty much straight up. Well, if they can do it, so can I. Note it's not at the top of my "to do" list. However, I feel better about adding at least one exercise related thing to my list. Looking at it again it appears all I have planned for 2019 is having as much fun as I possible! With all of these events just a few hours or less away, why not? Life's too short and there are too many cool things to experience here in Colorado. Happy New Year!
