The 2017 Revolution Rock Festival will not be happening this year after all. Organizers have revealed that due to circumstances beyond their control, this year's festival has been canceled.

The event was set to take place at the Foxwoods Resort Casino the weekend of Sept. 8-9, with Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown set to headline. A Day to Remember, Halestorm, Steel Panther, Pop Evil, Zakk Sabbath, Asking Alexandria and Starset were also among the acts booked to play festival. In addition, Live were set to play the Sept. 8 VIP Show at the Foxwoods Casino to kick things off.

A statement issued on the matter reads as follows:

Revolution Rock Festival producers announced today that, due to circumstances beyond their control, the festival has been canceled this year. The event was to be held outdoors at Foxwoods Resort Casino on September 8- 9, 2017.
“We offer our sincerest apologies to the artists that were set to perform and to the fans that were planning on attending Revolution Rock this year,” commented festival co-producers AEG Presents and Foxwoods Resort Casino. “Our hope is to recalibrate and return in 2018 with an even better festival experience for the incredible rock fans of New England.”
Refunds will be offered to all ticket purchasers beginning today at 5:00 PM and will be initiated by the ticketing company. Any questions regarding refunds should be directed to revolutionrockfestival@aegpresents.com.

Fans can visit the Revolution Rock Festival website for an additional message on ticketing refunds. Keep an eye out in 2018 for information on whether or not the festival will return.
