The 10th annual Colorado River clean up float will take place this Saturday starting at 9am. Volunteers are needed to come out and help pick up trash and old debris that has found its way into our beautiful river system.

You can sign up for one of three locations:
Corn Lake State Park to Redlands Parkway Boat Ramp
Redlands Parkway Boat Ramp to Fruita State Park Boat Ramp
Fruita State Park Boat Ramp to Loma Boat Ramp

If you want to sign up stop by Whitewater West or call 970-241-0441 or just show up with your boat ready to work. They will provide trash bags, State Park entry tags, a cool T-shirt and the appreciation BBQ at Riverside Park after the clean up.

There are a few items you will need to bring along such as your boat, canoe or kayak and a good pair of gloves, a bucket to sharp items, a pair of wire cutters and maybe an old tarp to help protect your boat. The weather will be great and the river is in need of a good clean up.
